Adjustment period for each quarter (16 periods in year)

Need an adjustment period for each quarter in the year

Any recommendations on how to handle this?  It has been suggested that I add periods outside of the YearTotal hierarchy, however, I have concerns over how this will impact the out of the box calculations, such as opening balance rollforward and movement.
