Notification by Enrollment

As per the attached screen shot for the notifications, there are two item mapping types for this which are the "Assignment" or the "Skill",

But we configured the system by "Enrollment"  (we don't use the assignments nor the skills in the courses )

so please  can a notification  be sent for the "Enrollment" ?

So is there a way to use the assignment to notify the user that  they have a coming enrollment (course) ?
