CRM Teams driving access in CPQ

Looking for solutions to large # of team members/quotes on a single opportunity updating CPQContent
We currently use opportunity teams to grant access to CPQ quotes, as well as populate dropdowns in CPQ to push to another application. Our team sizes are pretty large, so when trying to update an opportunity team and push those details to CPQ, the system is timing out. CRM has 60 seconds to update all quotes on the opportunity and it sometimes cannot get through all the quotes in that time because our opportunities can have over 30 quotes. This leaves any new team members without access to most of the quotes on the opportunity. Does anyone else use opportunity teams to drive
