Apply business rules on lists

Hi experts,

I have a reference field that populates a list. Can I apply business rules on that list?

For example, hide/show some items in the list based on the value of the location (another field in my business object).

So if I am at location = 1, I only want to show the first 2 items in the list, ... and so on..

How can I apply this logic?
