Category widget suddenly not displaying LC built courses

I'm completely confused. I've built a category widget onto a page to display courses within that category. Just yesterday, I demoed this for a group and it displayed LC built courses and content manager built courses within the categories.  Today, I updated the setting to display as a list instead of a card. Magically, the LC built courses no longer appear but the content manger courses do.

I've looked at everything! My categories, my category widget settings, my cat search widget settings, and the page where i've inserted them. everything looks normal.
