business requested to make gender and DOB mandatory field in contact details page (accessed through ESS) for US and Canada employees.
When US and Canada employee add/edit contact through self service page -Personal Information>family and Emergency Contacts or in Benefit >People to cover, US and Canada employee need to populate gender for benefit reasons. the EL expression to make gender field mandatory is not working. I have used the same EL expression for DOB field and its working file. This issue is happening in news feed pages.
