Native Mode Grids
Summary
Existing Smart View grids not working when changing ad-hoc modeContent
I just downloaded the latest version of Smart View and then changed my settings in the cloud to use the new Standard ad-hoc mode.
The new functionality worked fine, but any existing grids that had a connection to this database no longer work.
You get the attached error message.
So there will be some change management for rolling out this new feature as you may have thousands of workbooks out there. So get ahead of it.
To fix this I re-executed ad-hoc on the grid and selected the option to use Grid contents only (NO POV). There was a warning message that the grid will be converted to the new format. Once it converted, the grid worked with the new ad-hoc mode.
