What happens when you consolidate a whole year? Why does it take so long until it really starts?

Hi all,

I think I stumbled about an interesting point and hope that someone here is able to explain to me what happens.

Given that my FCCS app is loaded with data from Jan-Dec and is already consolidated in Jan, when I try to consolidate for Dec, it seems to me that absolutely nothing is happening on the system for minutes, before it starts to consolidate month by month and then finishes relatively quickly.

I'm able to look at this and watch it via the "Data Status" form.
