Hi,

I have a problem when we move data from Essbase to an ASO cube. The FTE data is not supposed to aggregate on YearTotal. I need to calculate the Total based on some conditions. Can I apply a formula to a rollup member in ASO??

If not possible, I will create another level 0 member where I will place the formula and I will use it for the reports as Year Total but I wanted to see if I could just place a formula on an upper level member on an ASO cube.

Yes, you could could have Formulas on upper level members  if the dimension is tagged as dynamic. It could mess up other things like time balance accounts.

But ever better you could tag the FTE measure as Time balance First,Last, or average. Assume you tag it as time balance last, then if Jan, Feb, Mar rol up to Q1. Q1 would equal the Mar value. YearTotal would equal Dec.  With First, it would be Jan in all cases. Average would average the months.

Time balance can skip missing and zero values as options if you want to turn that on.
