Summary

Can I move a Vm with a 1Tb root volume as a private image - how does the Sacrificial image actually work

Content

So I have a VM with a single boot disk of size 1 TB.

I want to move this to BMCS . Going through the documentation it talks about overlaying the root volume of a sacrificial image with the root of the custom image , but the sacrificial image has a root volume of size ~46GB. Will this kind of a custom image even work or will it run out of space on the root volume and error out. I haven't yet got tenancy details to try it but I wanted to know if my misgivings are well founded or not.

Howdy, Stranger!
