Is there a way to hide the action buttons from the 'Things to Finish' cards

Hi Everyone, 

Is there a way to hide the action buttons (Approve/Reject) from the cards in 'Things to Finish' in Newsfeed?  We need to restrict our leaders from approving/rejecting tasks right from the card without opening and reviewing the task first(especially for time card approvals). They need to open the task and then they can take action. 

We've hidden the 'Bell' notification icon from the global header for this same reason in the classic UI. Appreciate any feedback on this.
