I recommend a  reminder/disclaimer pop-up to be added to the OCI-C and OCC instance creation portal when customer is trying to create an high IO shape instance.

A reminder to customer may also apply to the Dense IO shape in OCI interface. They might need to back up their data properly since the NVMe disks mounted in instances created with this shape has no mirror copy, data may lose with disk failure.

 

 

 

 

Use Case and Business Need

We have known a few cases that the customer suffered data loss when they placed their data on NVMe disks which was mounted as non-persistent disks. These disks was coming with the option of creating high IO shape instances for OCI-C interface and OCC product.
