Summary

Values not eliminating when shared parents only exist in alternate hierachies

Content

Hi, has anyone hit this issue in FCCS:-

We have a primary hierarchy
[FCCS_Total Geography].[XXXTOTAL].[GR000].[EN000].[ENI10].[1863] - Never Share
And and alternate hierarchy
[XXXplc_Reg].[EN000] - Shared
[XXXplc_Reg].[FL000] - Shared

We have the following ICP Transactions :
Entity : [XXXplc_Reg].[EN000].[ENF10].[1863] - Shared
with
Partner : [XXXplc_Reg].[FL000] - Shared

In the Above scenario, FCCS_Total Geography and XXXplc_Reg are the Top level parents. When there is an Inter-company transaction in
the alternate hierarchy between 1863 and FL000, the value should get eliminated at XXXplc_Reg which is the common parent for both in the alternative hierarchy but FCCS is not eliminating the value at XXXplc_Reg parent in the above because EN000 is shared in the alternate hierarchy. This is the cause. If the 1863 base member is in the alternate hierarchy as share only the elimination will work. Has anyone met this issue and if so how did you deal with it? Obviously there is more maintenance required by replicating the base members in the alternate hierarchies and potential performance issues.
