Myth: You can't report across subject areas in OTBI
I'd hope that this is not a myth anymore, but just in case, yes you can report across subject areas in OTBI. You need to follow some simple rules:
- Start with one subject area and add others one at a time
- Include one measure from each subject area (you can hide them!)
- Pull all common dimensions from a single subject area
- Include at least one common dimension
- Check and apply the DIMENSIONALITY checkbox in the advanced tab if the information doesn’t look right
