change essbase server name with epmsys_registry.bat updatehost

Content

Hi,

I'm using an Essbase installation version 11.1.2.4 on windows server 2008 R2 with MS SQL-Server.

Now I'd like to change the server name by using the updatehost function of the epmsys_registry.bat.

If I try this before I change the windows server name I receive the message 'Specified host name NewServerName is not valid.'

If I do it reversly so when the windows server name already has got a new name I receive the message 'Specified host name OldServerName is not valid.' AND the message 'An error occured during the operation. Detailed message is - Failed to create new database connection using datasource.RootCause:[[FMWGEN][SQLServer JDBC Driver]Error establishing socket. Unknow host: OldServerName]

Howdy, Stranger!
