Looking for an answer on how to derive a property value instead of just copying using node type converter

We have a subscription set up for ERP to Planning Account viewpoint. We want to derive an Account property called "AccountType" based on its value in ERP instead of just copying it from ERP to Planning. The value of "AccountType" in ERP is E whereas we want its value in Planning to be "Expense". Is it possible to do this in node type converter or in any other way?
