In the typical process of qualifying a supplier, after the supplier submits the response to a questionnaire, the qualification manager needs to manually accept the response, manually evaluate and finalize the qualification before it becomes active. 

You can, however, set up your qualification areas in a way so that responses can be accepted automatically. Furthermore, scores can be automatically derived and assigned to question responses based on previously defined rules. And lastly qualifications and assessments can be evaluated automatically with an outcome based on the derived scores.
