Excluding customers when syncing from Financials Cloud

Summary

Does anyone know if there's a way to exclude customers from syncing to sales cloud when using the "Synchronize Financials Cloud Accounts and Contacts with Engagement Cloud" process?

We have many customers that were erroneously entered into Financials Cloud instead of Sales Cloud. We'd like to run the process for “Synchronize Financials Cloud Accounts and Contacts with Engagement Cloud”, but there are also customers in Financials Cloud that we do NOT want to sync to Sales Cloud. Is there any way to prevent those select customers from syncing with this process?
