Summary

We would like to know if it will be possible to prevent MRP-users from creating and releasing recommendations on MPS-planned items

Content

Hi all,

I would like to receive some clarifications about Supply Planning.

Our customer is adopting an hub and spoke planning configuration, meaning that they have a 2-level supply planning. They use MPS (Production Plan) for finished goods and semi-finished goods, and MRP (Manufacturing Plan) for all items. We have defined at item level if each item will be MPS planned or MRP planned.

Currently, it is possible to manage and release plan recommendations and create planned orders for MPS planned-items from an MRP plan. Nevertheless, we would like to prevent those users that only have access to MRP plans to create and release recommendations for items that are supposed to be planned in Production Plans (MPS). If I am not mistaken, in ebs there used to be a profile option for this, but it seems there isn't anything like this in Cloud.

Howdy, Stranger!
