"Created by Me" Notification section - not displaying the notification

Hello,

Change location transaction done by a manager . The transaction is submitted and goes to the correct approvers, however in the 'created by me' notification section, the notification isn't working, however when going into the work list, you can see the transaction and it's status. 

Furthermore, the "Created by me" header shows the number (1), which makes us to understand that there is one notification created by me. See screenshot 1

Once the transaction gets approved then the notification come through on "created by me" area twice. See screenshot 2

Should the notification appears on the "created by me" section even the approval process has not been completed yet? Then the manager could see the transaction status?
