Using TCC to Update "Locked" Requisition Fields

My organization uses TEE to submit background screening requests via the integration with First Advantage. We now need to change the "package" under the "Screening Services" section of the requisition on over 500 existing requisitions. One way this can be done is by a user placing the requisition on a "Hold" status, using the "Edit" command, and then updating the field since the field is locked whenever the requisition is posted. In some cases where candidates have already progressed further than the "New" step, the field cannot be modified at all.

Has anyone had success using TCC to update a field that gets locked down after a certain point? Is so, was TCC able to update the field without needing to place the requisition on in a Hold status, or did that need to happen first? I'm including a screenshot of the fields I'm trying to modify without creating replacement reqs. Any feedback on this is appreciated!
