Multi-Selection of Nodes in Page Structure

edited Oct 17, 2019 4:09PM in Visual Builder 2 comments

Summary

Single-clicking nodes in Page Structure results in multiple nodes being selected.

Content

Within the Page Structure navigator, the default behaviour seems to be that of multi-selection when single clicking nodes which is contrary to typical applications where CTRL+Click and SHIFT+Click are used.

Having one node selected shows the item properties in the panel on the right side of the page.  On clicking a different node, one would expect the behaviour to be for the console to de-select the original node and show the properties for the newly selected node.

With the multi-selection behaviour, the selection of a different node results in two nodes being selected and the message ‘Multiple Items Selected’ is shown in the property inspection region.  To view the properties for the newly selected node, one has to click the original node to de-select it then click the newly selected node again for the property inspector to refresh.
