Parent Data Disappears

I saw a post from a year ago on this topic but just had it happen to us a couple weeks ago.  One day there is data at parent entities and the next day it's gone.  Force consolidate does nothing to bring the data back.  We found we must force the parent status to change to CN and then reconsolidate the data.  We created a form that allows us to input a balance in one base member below each lowest level parent.  This is the 3rd time this has happened - seems about every 3 months or so.  Prior data
