Hire Date Change Renders Inactive User Profile

edited Oct 29, 2019 3:39PM in Human Capital Management 4 comments

Summary

User Profile becomes Inactive and Roles removed after Hire Date is Updated

Content

It is common practice in our environment, when setting up a user for the first time in ERP, we set the Hire Date to 12/15/16 to prevent any issues with adding the user's manager to the profile. There are times when we forget to change the Hire Date to the 12/15/16, therefore, we have to go into HCM and update the Hire Date. Prior to 19C, we have been able to make this change without issue.

After 19C upgrade, to change the Hire Date, we access Person Management - Personal and Employment - Manage Work Relationship and we update the Hire Date and Enterprise Date, the user's profile becomes Inactive and all assigned Roles are removed.

Howdy, Stranger!
