Does VBCS support JWT (JSON Web Token) as a form of authentication?

We are trying to create a VBCS service connection to a REST API provided by a third party vendor.  The vendor is using a JWT token.  However, we don't see that option available to us in VBCS.  Are we missing something or are we required to create our own integration to the vendor's API and then have VBCS connect to our integration?  Thanks for your support.
