Learning Initiative assigned plus Learning Assignment for same course

Will the Learning Initiative take precedence over the Learning Assignement and activite the repeat requirement?

We have added a course as a learning assignment to an employee.  However they have also been assigned the same course as a learning initiative by someone else with a requirement for the course to be repeated every 2 years.  this is a compliance course.

In the employee's current learning it shows the course with the first assignment (shows the name of the person who assigned it first) and the timescale they set for the course to be completed.

Will the Learning Initiative show in their current learning after the course has a completion for the first date or will it ignore the learning initiative altogether?
