Summary

In the transfer workflow, which changes certain fields on a specific day, other rows too are being affected

Hi,

We have some strange issue. Below is the scenario:

123 was the manager of employee 999 from 05-2012 to 04-2016. Manager 123 is terminated with effective 05-2017

456 was manager for employee 999 since 04-2016

There was a new transfer action initiated through self service by new manager 789. He changed the department, job and line manager with a new future date 12-2019. The workflow was approved and saved successfully in the system. But, when we check the past records, the manager 123 who is now terminated is being assigned to rows between 2018 and 2019. Not sure how the old manager is replacing the current manager automatically. The transfer process works fine since some time now and does not have any issues. This above mentioned issue has happened with three employees till date.

Howdy, Stranger!
