How to customize Responsive Home Page

It's difficult to get to the pages that I use most on the new home page.

I'd like to know how to either 1.) customize the horizontal scroll bar on the home page so that apps that I use most appear on the left of the bar or  2.) establish shortcuts or favorites on the home page so that I can easily access my most used apps.
