Learning Initiative & Learning Assignment not displaying correct Results for Assigned Learning

I created a Required Learning Initiative on Nov 13, with the same start date.  Two individuals were assigned the learning on the first day.  One day later I added a third required learner.
In the first screen shot you can see the three individuals added to the Learning Initiative.

My Questions are:
1.  In the second screen shot (Learning Initiatives page), why am I not seeing the number "3" under Incomplete Learners?
2.  Once I return to the Learning Assignments page, I do not see the Initiative Number next to three people who were assigned the learning, why not?
