Is there a way to adjust the height of the full screen course player?

Prior to the full screen course player, users could adjust the height of their player using the gray bar. Is there a way to adjust the height of the player or to make it dynamic? Currently, the width of the player appears to be dynamic based on the browser window width, but the height is fixed. This leads to course material not being visible on smaller monitors/laptops. 

Can this be accomplished via personalization?
