Summary

How to configure the context sensitive descriptive flexfields for Suppliers?

Content

You can use descriptive flexfields at various supplier profile levels to extend your supplier profile information catering to different business cases. These descriptive flexfields also provide the capability to capture context sensitive information. Context sensitive information can be defined as information that needs to be captured under specific context.

For example, your business requires you to capture whether or not your suppliers are ISO 9001 certified. In addition, you want to capture the certificate number if they are ISO 9001 certified or the reason for not being ISO 9001 certified. In this example, the context is ISO 9001 certification status and the context sensitive information is the certificate number or the reason for not being ISO 9001 certified. In the attached file, we have detailed the steps required when configuring this use case in Oracle Cloud and a few points you need to know related to context sensitive DFFs.
