Periodic data load in FCCS

My understanding is that, we can load either the periodic or YTD balances in FCCS and the other balances are computed by FCCS. I tried loading periodic balances in FCCS using Data Management and Oracle cloud ERP as source. After completing the data load and running Consolidation, I am seeing the periodic balances are actually sitting in YTD view member. My view dimension mapping in DM are set to load by default to FCCS_Periodic and I can confirm that from the transformed data in Workbench. Does anybody know what am I missing?
