Change (NUX)/Manage (Classic UI) Salary transaction - cannot edit/correct Effective Date

Hello, Wondering if anyone has experienced and/or have a workaround to this issue.

Using MyTeam > Change Salary to submit a salary change, we’ve noticed that none of the approvers have the ability to Edit the Effective Date if the wrong date is entered.  The functionality in Core HR Manage Salary screen has always been this way – it does not allow effective date edits either.  So, our Data Entry team has always just deleted the incorrect entry and re-entered.  However, we’ve just rolled out Manager Self Service globally and with it, we’ve implemented a rather detailed approval workflow.  For consistency, we’ve also enabled this on Manage Salary, so deleting a wrong entry
