Interclass UoM conversions in transactions
Summary
Interclass UoM conversions in transactionsContent
The scenario: For items, some times they are purchased in weight based UoMs (Kilograms, Ton etc) received in Tons and then physically packaged in bags with fixed weights and then moved (Inventory movement) and sold in bags of 25 Kgs as Eaches.
As an example an item Mulch25Kgs can be bought as a receipt of 1 Ton , packaged in 40 Bags of 25 Kgs Each and then moved and sold in Each UoM ( 1 Each = 25 Kgs)
In the current system (JDE) there are no limitations on UoMs that a user can select or transacti as long as a UoM conversion (Standard or Item specific) is defined. Interclass and Intraclass conversions.
