Audit Report not working

Hi Experts,
We have enabled Auditing for Person Name attributes. When we are changing the attributes of the name through front end it is working (Manage Persons) and the details are reflecting in the Audit report.
And if we are changing the attributes through Spreadsheet loader , details are not showing in the Audit report.
Let me know your views -- Is this the expected behaviour?
