Setting up benefit default at "Company Assumptions" instead of a specific entity


Hello Experts,

I am configuring Benefits OOB in Workforce and have been successful so far.

One question i had was, can i set up a benefit default at "Company Assumptions" instead of a specific entity. If i do so, will sync default pick up that benefit default from "Company Assumptions" and apply to all entities. I did a quick testing and looks like sync default does not consider defaults set on "Company Assumptions". 

The reason we are trying to do this is, because we do have location specific benefits but we are utilizing "Pay Type" dimension to capture location details for a specific employee. Hence we don't really need entity to differentiate what benefits will apply for which country/state.
