Modifying Existing Learning Initiatives Due Dates

Hello all, 

Quick question?  Is there anyway to modify existing Learning Initiatives initial due date option?  I've a new hire initiative that i'd like change the due date from withing 30 days to 7 days, however, the the text box and drop down is grayed out.  Is there any way to modify this, or do I need to create a new learn initiative and delete the existing one?
