Hierarchy Type - Areas of Responsibility

Content

Hello,

When we assign Areas Of Responsibility to any employee in HCM, we could find some fields named as Hierarchy type, Top Manager, Hierarchy Level, Include Top manager under scope of responsibility. Can some one help us to understand the significance of those fields.

Business Case : We have requirement to assign AOR based on top manager level. Lets take example of an employee "A", we want A to access details of a top manager "M" and all direct/indirect report(s) of "M". Can we leverage Supervisor Hierarchy type to achieve this?
