Is there a way to "fully" remove an application (Planning, CDM etc..)?

I've noticed when I remove an existing application from the GUI CDM objects don't get removed (old target application registrations etc.).  Is there a way to cleanly remove an existing application without having to resort to manually removing the CDM related objects that hang around?
