How does BAI Adapter work in ARCS?

We are in the process of determining how to load the BAI files into ARCS using the pre-built adapter.

1. How does the adapter work?
2. Does any transformation need to occur to the BAI file before loading (assuming we are loading to a Transaction Matching match type and not reconciliation compliance?
3. What does the "Source Filters" mean during the process of setup, and is that required?

The admin guide is not very helpful in terms of the end-to-end setup of how we can load this information - so any insight would be very helpful.
