My colleague Ifeanyi has provide the following article that details a few options when it comes to defaulting  Cost Center Segment on a Charge Account used in Self Service Procurement Requisitions based on the department of the current user. Please review the details and share your feedback:

Introduction:

A charge account is a combination of segment values that uniquely identifies the account in the chart of accounts to which a charge will be booked. It helps identify which unit purchased an item, what type of item it is (Expense, Asset), who should bear the cost of the item, etc. A company decides what segments make up their charge account.
