DBCS adapter/connection limitations

Description

As per documentation of OIC and as per SR raised with Oracle, we have been told that there is a timeout limit of 240 seconds and a Payload size limit of 10 MB.

We would want a solution to increase the limit when required as a configurable option for the clients.

Use Case and Business Need

There are or could be scenarios when the size of the payload of a SQL executed in DBCS connection or time taken for SQL is more than 240 seconds.

During this case, we might have to re-design the integration to accomodate more records etc. This will not be possible in production as it has to go via change management process. If this is configurable in the back end by Admins, then the integration can just be re-run.
