Upload document during onboarding process

We have a requirement where in the pending worker needs to upload certain documents. To achieve this shall we add a task with action type as  'Application Task - Document Records' in the Enterprise Onboarding checklist?

 

Or create a Non-Enterprise onboarding and configure an Event "Person Document Record-Document Type"? Also, if you could let me know the steps to configure this? Is it required to add a task and action in this onboarding or we can just add the event?
