Marital Status change start date

Hello-
We are getting an error on the dates every time someone tries to change their Marital Status in the NUX. Apparently, there is a 'valid range' for the date under the question: 'When does this marital status change start?'. Does any of you know why we can't select a date before 22-Sep-2016? Please see screenshot attached.
