Reducing list of Documents in Document Records

Hi,

I am wondering if it is possible to reduce the list of document types seen by users in the Document Records functionality. This has an extensive list of documents, some of which aren't relevant for a UK based client.

I have tried creating a custom document type security profile where I have "included" the list of documents that are relevant but I have come to find that it is not possible to reduce the seeded list in this way. The security profile is only used for user-created documents. 

Please correct me if i'm incorrect on the the above or let me know if you have found a way to meet this requirement.
