Can Person Number differs by each Business Unit and starting with specific number?

I've a client requirement for Person Number Generation Method that we have 5 business units, and we need each BU person numbers to start with certain Letter then automatic numbering.. for example

 

Business unit 1: E0001, E0002, E0003...etc.

Business unit 2: A001, A002, A003...etc.

Business unit 3: H001,H002, H 003...etc.

 

Is this doable? and how?
