MSS Promotion blanks Location value

Summary

Location value goes blank after a manager updates assignment with a promotion.

Hi Everyone,

We have a recurring issue on Production since we introduced MSS in NUX and it gives me headache...:)  I'm wondering if anyone ever faced anything similar... I already have an SR on this and the internal team is investigating it.

We have some business processes bec. of which we made Location field invisible in the Promotion guided workflow for managers.
Anytime a manager entered a promotion on a record, the assignment history told us the Location value was also changed and when we checked it, it was blank. Again: Location value is not present in this workflow. Only Department, Job title, Assignment Name, Business Unit and some other fields. No matter what the manager changed from the above, Location always went blank. I could reproduce the issue with ease. (We do not map any Location to Departments.)

Howdy, Stranger!
