Row limit on Item Catalog Import

Is there a row limit of 500 on Catalog Import Template

Hello, 

We are creating a new catalog hierarchy in PIM, and during the uploads into our test environment we were only successful at loading 500 rows at at time. This caused a few issues. One being we had to ID the missing categories etc... with a custom report since there was no error on the initial upload. 

I did not see a limit noted in documentation. Has anyone else experienced the limit? Or know why we are seeing a 500 row limit and no errors?
