Reset oj-select-single components value in UI

Placeholder of oj-select-single does not show as an item in LOV when the required property is false

Since oj-select-one is deprecated we are transitioning our code to use oj-select-single.

Use Case : User initially selected a value from LOV (oj-select-single) but since its not a required field he wants to remove the selection.How to achieve this using oj-select-single.

One of the futures of oj-select-one was that when the required property is set to false , placeholder would show up in the LOV and when the component is a required one the Placeholder would not show up in LOV. I could not find similar behavior in
