Exit Interview Template - Best Options ?

We are currently reviewing the configured Exit Interview as a Performance Template - is this the most suitable option for users and reporting purposes.

Currently, we have configured an exit interview questionnaire as a performance template, automatically generated upon a resignation action completed via manager self-service.  This questionnaire offers a list of targeted questions around why the employee is leaving the organisation. 

The MI extracted from this template is subsequently used for a variety of internal reviews.

Our HR Professional users are looking to review the template and the whole exit interview process. They have asked for options on where the exit interview could be located, yet still providing MI data to be extracted.  We have recently investigated how utilising a document of record for the exit interview and how this functionality differs to our current solution.
